ARRIVE DELHI / UDAIPUR

Arrive in Delhi and board your connecting flight to Udaipur. Udaipur, the 'City of Dawn', is the Jewel of Mewar, a kingdom ruled by the Sisodia Dynasty for 1,200 years. Its fairy-tale palaces and temples carry flavors of a heroic past, epitomizing valor and chivalry.

IN UDAIPUR

Visit the majestic City Palace, a conglomeration of courtyards and hanging gardens overlooking Lake Pichola. Explore the Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum's collection of folk art, puppets, and masks. Later, visit Saheliyon-ki-Bari (the 'ladies garden'). In the evening, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola, docking at Jag Mandir Island where Shah Jahan once found sanctuary.

JODHPUR / JAIPUR

Transfer to Jaipur (335 kms), the Pink City associated with Rajput hospitality. The first planned city of its time, Jaipur is encircled by a formidable wall and filled with picturesque broad avenues.

IN JAIPUR

Excursion to Amber Fort via jeep ride, exploring the Sheesh Mahal and medieval Rajput architecture. Drive past the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a unique 19th-century facade. Afternoon: visit the City Palace museum and the Jantar Mantar observatory, still remarkable for its accuracy.

Transfer to Sawai Madhopur (170 kms), home to Ranthambore National Park. This 392 sq. km. park is the country's best for observing tigers and home to over 300 bird species. Explore local ethnic ornaments and costumes in the town.

A full day of wildlife exploration: morning and afternoon safaris in Ranthambore National Park by exclusive open jeep, accompanied by an English-speaking naturalist to track tigers and other carnivores.

SAWAI MADHOPUR / AGRA

Transfer to Agra (245 kms). Visit the Taj Mahal, built over 22 years by 22,000 workers as a monument to love. Explore Agra Fort, a masterpiece of design containing Jahangir's Palace and the octagonal tower where Shah Jahan spent his final years as a prisoner.

Discover Old Delhi: Jama Masjid, a cycle rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, and the Red Fort. In the afternoon, visit Humayun's Tomb and the iconic Lotus Temple (dedicated in 1986).
